iPhone 7 : Ultra-Fast Li-Fi Technology may appear in iPhone 7

According to twitter user @kyoufujibaya, Apple is experimenting with Ultra-Fast Li-Fi wireless Technology and may include it in the future iPhone’s starting with iPhone 7, which is rumored to be releasing in September 2016.

Twitter user @kyoufujibaya discovered that, Li-Fi references are being made in iOS 9.1 firmware. Which is a clear signal that Apple is experimenting this disruptive wireless technology in Labs. Unveiled in 2011 , Li-Fi is a cheap replacement for Wi-fi technology and is 100 times faster than the average Wi-Fi speed.

With Li-Fi powered iPhone, you could walk into any room, switch on the lights to get 100 times faster internet connection instantly with transmission speed of upto 10Gbps in lab conditions and 1Gbps in commercial context.

It doesn’t stop here, Researchers were able to broadcast up-to 224Gbps connection and its not limited.

What is Li-Fi? and how it works?

The Wi-Fi technology which was discovered in 1992 has undoubtedly revolutionized wireless communication, without which the life would be somewhat different. And now after nearly two decades, A new wireless technology is all set to replace the revolutionary Wi-Fi technology.

Unlike Wi-Fi which uses radio waves to transmit data, Li-Fi uses cheaper and robust medium for data transfer,.. The Light. The Light which is a part of electromagnetic spectrum just like radio waves, has a frequency range 10 thousand times greater than radio waves. This means that, the light has the capacity to transmit more pulses of data in much less time than radio waves.

To do this Li-Fi uses LED lights. LED is a semiconductor which is an electronic device and has a nice property by which its intensity can be modulated at very high speed. These subtle changes in the intensity are invisible to human eye, but creates a stream of data bits.

This property of LED lights is being exploited to transfer high speed data to Li-Fi enabled devices. Watch this TED talk by Harald Haas (The inventor of Li-Fi).

 

 

From security perspective, With Li-Fi we will be able to transmit data more securely since light doesn’t penetrate through walls and therefore somebody outside of your house will not be able to sense the on going wireless transmission, Unlike Wi-Fi which can be Intercepted easily.

New Wireless system MegaMIMO could make Wi-Fi 3 times faster – MIT Lab

We all have Wi-Fi and network connection problems today. When it comes to using public networks where there is a huge traffic, using Wi-Fi almost seems impossible.

We find it difficult to connect our devices to the public networks or experience very slow speeds.

Initially, when you would look for Wi-Fi signals where a large public resides, it is hard to connect with the network as there were so many users fighting for the same network that had a limited spectrum.

No bandwidth could manage the traffic of users trying to use the internet at the same frequency of connection levels, which ultimately led to the frustration of users.

However, a solution to this problem has been developed by the team of researchers at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). The solution brought to this issue was ‘Real Time Distribute MIMO system’ which was described by the team as management of networks that enable the Wi-Fi router to collaborate in a better way.

This new wireless system “MegaMIMO” has brought a great change that has solved Connectivity problems at public WiFi hot-spots to a very great extent.

The Multiple Input Multiple Output technology (MIMO) can provide three times faster internet access to the networked devices by offering a combination of multiple transmitters which enables to users experience more than one available network at a time. In the MIMO system, many routers work together by offering data over the same piece of spectrum.

Thus, MIMO 2.0 has emerged as a system that has managed to coordinate multiple routers at one time which syncs their phases to enable transmission of the same spectrum by multiple transmitters without causing any interference.

This project was successfully funded by the National Science Foundation and had strong support from the members of MIT center for Wireless Networking and Mobile Computing.

This is How it works..

One might wonder how smartphones have experienced better speeds because of MIMO. This is because the MIMO uses a number of routers to spread the spectrum to many users at the same time.

Here the radio waves bounce off the surfaces and reach the users at little differentiated times with multiple users helping them to use data better and faster.

CSAIL found a technique to connect multiple transmitters by harmonizing their phases. They established special signal processing conclusions to enable multiple transmitters to send data on the same piece of spectrum to a large traffic without inventing any conflicts.

It is also believed that this technology can help the cellular networks where similar congestion problems can be solved by the people who use their phones for calling purposes.

The team looks forward to expanding this technology where they can develop a connection of multiple routers at once. This is helping them transmit faster data speeds in an area with heavy traffics.

This solution will be very useful in campuses and enterprises where the current solutions have been so slow and a spotty performance.

The technology defiantly has the potential to perform better and serve better to the people. It has the potential to provide higher speeds of the network to each and every user.

The researchers of MIT team announced that in a big crowd, MegaMIMO 2.0 manages to transfer wireless data 3.6 times better and faster than the usual systems.

 

 

They also mentioned that when additional tests were created with number or routers, the speed raised to 10 times better. They believe to have a successful MegaMIMO startup, which has been working and exploring more on commercializing the technology and help the traffic get benefit from this technology.

This kid hacked his country’s presidents website to try to cancel his exams

This teenager hacked Sri Lankan President’s website to try to get the exam cancelled

As kids, we have done many things to avoid the exams like feigning stomachache or headache but none of us would have done what this kid did. A 17-year-old teenager reportedly hacked into his country’s president’s websites so that he could get the authorities to cancel the exam.

Sri Lankan police have arrested the teenager and accused him of hacking into President Maithripala Sirisena’s official website and posting a message calling for the postponement of A-level examinations.

President Sirisena’s website was hacked a week earlier and the hacker had posted a message calling for the postponement of exams. The police immediately swung into action and zeroed down on the boy who lives near the capital Columbo.

According to the police, the boy was taken into custody on Monday under computer crimes laws and on conviction faces a fine of $2,000 and up to three years in jail. “We traced the hack to his home in Kadugannawa,” a police official said, referring to a town about 100km (62 miles) east of the capital, Colombo. “The website was crippled over the weekend after the attack.”

Authorities worked overnight to fix the President’s hacked website and were able to restore it within 24 hours. The attacker had removed the home page and replaced it with a demand that the president postpone the ongoing GCE Advanced Level examinations or step down.

 

The name of the teenager was not disclosed as per Sri Lankan laws for juvenile crimes.

Meet Turing’s Cadenza, there is no smartphone on earth like it

And as you may have guessed by now, Android and iOS can’t power this super giant of a smartphone. So Turing is relying on Swordfish OS, which is capable of deep learning, running a neural network, using differential privacy and natural language processing.

How To Find Wi-Fi Password Using CMD Of All Connected Networks

It is very easy to find WiFi password using few cmd commands. This command works even when you are offline or you are connected to some other WiFi network. Using this command, we can further optimize our particular WiFi network like turning on some features such as mac randomization, changing the radio type of your WiFi etc.

Whenever we connect to a WiFi network and enter the password to connect to that network, we actually make a WLAN profile of that WiFi network. That profile is stored inside our computer along with the other required details of the WiFi profile.

Instead of using a GUI to find the individual passwords, we can also look for the WiFi password of that particular WiFi network using cmd. These steps work even when you are totally offline or you are not connected to the particular wifi you are looking the password for

How to know the WiFi password using cmd:

  • Open the command prompt and run it as administrator.

  • In the next step, we want to know about all the profiles that are stored in our computer. So, type the following command in the cmd:

netsh wlan show profile

This command will list out all the WiFi profiles that you have ever connected to.

In the above picture, I have intentionally blurred some of my WiFi networks’ name. As you can see, there are eight WiFi networks that I connect to. So, let’s go and find out the password for the WiFi ‘NETGEAR50’ in this case which I created intentionally for this article.

  • Type the following command to see the password of any WiFi network:

netsh wlan show profile WiFi-name key=clear

  • Under the security settings, in the ‘key content’, you see the WiFi password of that particular network.

Besides knowing the password, you can also use this result to further optimize your WiFi. For example, Under the profile information, you can see mac randomization is disabled. You can turn on mac randomization feature to avoid your location tracking based on the device’s MAC address.

Here is how to turn on mac randomization on Windows 10:

  • Go to settings and click on ‘Network & internet’
  • Choose the ‘WiFi’ in the left pane and click on the advanced option

  • Turn on the ‘Random Hardware Address’ feature under this settings. If your wireless hardware does not support this feature, the “Random Hardware Addresses” section will not show up at all in the settings app.
  • Once you have turned this on, you are done.

Also, under the connectivity settings, in radio type, you can see the whole list. Channel interference could be another reason for a slow WiFi. So, next time, you might also like to change the radio type settings for a better speed.

Banks Of Facebook And Google — Are You Going To Use Them?

A recent study has shown that about one-fifth of customers would buy financial services from technology companies like Google, Amazon, and Facebook. This Europe-wide survey has provided other interesting data telling that customers are becoming more inclined towards technologically advanced banking services.

With the rise of mobile-based internet services, online banking has become hassle-free. The consumers have taken advantage of these services and started using new payment methods. So, what if your favorite technology companies like Google or Facebook introduce their own banking services?

A recent study by Fujitsu has revealed a surprising inclination of customers who have shown a positive attitude towards probable banking and insurance services from tech giants.

The study has shown that about a fifth of consumers would use financial services from companies like Google, Amazon, and Facebook. This survey covered 7,000 people from all across Europe.

37% participants of the survey said that they might leave their current provider if they fail to offer the latest technology. The researchers have said that this might open gates for new players.

Looking the result of the survey, we also get to know that about 20 percent users have been using Bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies. In Eastern Europe, the usage of cryptocurrencies was particularly strong with 44 percent adoption rate.

The survey also revealed that consumers were willing to allow their banks to make use of their data to provide relevant services. In today’s age, surprisingly, this number was as high as 47%.

“Today’s customers are no longer guarded,” said Francois Fleutiaux, senior vice president and head of sales, EMEIA, Fujitsu. “When it makes interaction more convenient they are willing to embrace innovation.”

  4. After the download is completed, install the Android Studio.
  5. Now you have to download the latest version of the SDK file for running Android Studio. You can either download it using the below link or Android Studio will also ask you to download SDK itself.
  6. But  I will recommend you to go with the second option and let the Android Studio automatically install the SDK itself  because you don’t need to have any headache of finding the file and then downloading it.
  7. But if you want to download the SDK by yourself, then open your Android Studio and go to Files ->Settings, then in the settings tab, open Appearance & Behaviour -> System Settings -> Android SDK.
  8. Now after the Android SDK toolbar is opened, click on the Launch Standalone SDK Manager, in the bottom left corner of the toolbar.

The packages that you need to install are:

  • Android SDK Platform.
  • Google Respiratory.
  • Google USB Driver.
  • Intel x86 Emulator.
  • Android System Image.
  • Google Play Services.

9. Now open Android Studio and click on Start a new Android Studio project.

16.As we have created our application, now is the time to run our application.

17. For this click on Run in the menu bar.

19. Now a dialogue box will open. Select Launch Emulator option and click Ok.

This method is very straightforward , WinToBootic is surprisingly easy to use , literally like 1,2,3.Wintobootic software,make usb flash drive bootable,install windows 7 from usb flash drive,boot disk creator,creation of bootable usb flash drive

  1. First you need a windows vista/7/8 .iso image file ; and of course a usb flash drive.
  2. Second thing you need the program WiNToBootic_v2.1 , you need to unzip it with wrar500 or any other archive program.
  3. Next run the program , there is no need to install it .31
  4. Select the usb flash drive , mark Quick format(this will erase all of your usb data, be sure there is no important files on the flash drive)
  5. Next click on the drop source arrow to navigate to you windows .iso image file , or simply drag and drop the .iso file.32
  6. Click Do it! , a message will appear asking if you are sure? , click yes, another message with farmatting warning will appear, click ok . 33
